The Superintendent will oversee a diverse district of 41,000+ students across 64+ charter schools and one direct-run school, ensuring academic excellence, equity, and innovation. The Orleans Parish School Board expects to negotiate a competitive salary and benefits package depending on the candidate’s experience, accomplishments, and credentials. The salary range for the position is $275,000-$310,000.

NOTICE OF VACANCY AND REQUEST FOR APPLICATIONS, School Superintendent, Jackson Parish School System
The Jackson Parish School System is seeking qualified applications for school superintendent. The applicant must meet the qualifications set forth by BESE and/or LDOE. Applicants must be certified as a superintendent in Louisiana at the time of application or eligible for immediate certification, as confirmed in writing by the LDOE at the time of application. You must furnish your LDOE confirmation along with your completed application. Please note that the applicant must possess the credentials which entitle him/her alone to serve as the district’s superintendent.
The deadline for submission of applications is February 24, 2025. Applications not received by that date will not be considered. Applications will be available on the homepage of the school system’s website (www.jpsb.us). Your completed application with a cover letter, resume’, three (3) current letters of reference, and proof of certification or the LDOE confirmation must be mailed to the following address:
